Hello friends and family of Pink Martini. All of us here are reeling a bit at the surreal escalation of the spread of the Coronavirus and the necessary global responses to this crisis in the last two weeks. We are fully in support of the strong actions that are being taken by state and local governments to curb the spread of the virus. Unfortunately, of course, this means that, in conjunction with our local presenters, we are postponing all upcoming shows at least through the end of May, and a few beyond that.
It’s a great disappointment, of course, but it’s far more important that we all act now, together, to take significant action to address this predicament. The safety of our friends and fans is paramount. Like you, we can’t wait for things to return to normal. We are working with all presenters to reschedule as many postponed shows as possible for later in 2020 or 2021. Please follow the news from your local venues and concert presenters directly for more information about the reschedule date for each of our postponed shows.
We are confident we will all get through this. Stay strong, stay positive and stay safe. Use your time to create, to learn something new, to read, to communicate, to volunteer, to help your neighbors, to connect with your communities virtually. We will pass this unexpected time at home by making some new music for you! And working on other projects, like sheet music, and, hopefully, virtual performances. Meanwhile, even though you can’t see us live in concert for several months, please enjoy our recordings at home, on album, iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you listen, and we’ll all look forward to sharing music together in person again soon.
Lots of love from Pink Martini,
Be well
